The SAB Brewing In-Service Training is a structured program aimed at providing students with real-world brewing and production experience. Participants in the SAB Brewing In-Service Training Program will:
- Assist with beer brewing, fermentation, and quality testing
- Monitor and control brewing and packaging processes
- Conduct laboratory tests to ensure product quality and consistency
- Support process optimization and equipment maintenance
- Learn about raw materials, yeast management, and fermentation processes
- Work with teams to troubleshoot brewing and production challenges
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects
- Document processes, collect data, and prepare technical reports
To qualify for the SAB Brewing In-Service Training Program, candidates must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be currently studying or have completed a Diploma or Degree in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Biotechnology or Microbiology
- Brewing Science
- Food Science & Technology
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (related to brewing)
- Related technical fields
- Require work-integrated learning (WIL) experience to complete their qualification (if applicable)
- Have a passion for brewing, production, and innovation
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Be detail-oriented with an ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Have basic computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, etc.)
- Practical brewing experience with a leading global beer company
