The Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) invites applications for its 2025 Internship Programme, aimed at developing skilled and competent graduates to strengthen infrastructure capacity across municipalities in South Africa.
This structured 12-month internship provides an opportunity for young South African graduates to gain hands-on experience, receive professional mentorship, and be part of national efforts to support sustainable service delivery through improved municipal infrastructure.
Successful candidates will be placed at MISA’s national and regional offices and may also be deployed to selected municipalities to gain exposure to real-world challenges in local government infrastructure planning and development.

- Finance (Municipal Finance, Public Finance, Accounting)
- Information Technology / Information Systems
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen by birth
- Have completed at least a 3-year National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) in a relevant field by end of 2025
- Be 26 years old or younger at the time of application
- Be willing to be placed in Pretoria or any other regionally assigned location
- Practical, real-world experience within the public infrastructure environment
- Development of technical and soft skills relevant to the local government sector
- Monthly stipend to support living expenses
- Exposure to intergovernmental work and development impact projects
