The Mine Health and Safety Council (MHSC) invites unemployed graduates to apply for its 2025 Internship Programme, designed to provide hands-on workplace experience, industry exposure, and essential employability skills.
This structured 24-month internship will allow graduates to work within specific business units, gaining valuable insights and practical knowledge in their respective fields. The programme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional work, preparing interns for future career opportunities.
Successful candidates will be placed in one of the following business units within MHSC:
- Research Unit
- Supply Chain Unit
- Finance Unit
- Human Capital Unit
- Governance Unit
- Real-world industry experience in a structured environment
- Workplace exposure within specialized business units
- Mentorship and training to develop essential skills
- Career growth opportunities in the mining and safety sector
To qualify, applicants must:
Hold a National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in one of the following fields:
- Mining
- Engineering
- Supply Chain Management / Logistics
- Finance / Accounting
- Industrial Psychology / Human Resources
- Governance or related fields
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 35 years old as of 01 February 2025
- Be currently unemployed
