The iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority is offering an internship program for young graduates and students seeking practical experience in conservation, environmental management, tourism, and administration. Interns will be placed in different departments based on their qualifications and interests. Responsibilities may include:
Environmental Conservation & Research
- Assisting with wildlife and marine conservation projects.

- Participating in environmental education programs.
Tourism & Hospitality Management
- Supporting tourism development and visitor experience initiatives.

- Assisting with community-based conservation projects.

- Providing clerical and administrative support to park offices.
- Assisting in budgeting, procurement, and financial reporting.
- Supporting HR functions, including recruitment and training coordination.
Law Enforcement & Park Protection
- Assisting in park security and anti-poaching initiatives.
- Supporting compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
- Engaging in ranger patrols and surveillance activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizen.
- A completed or nearly completed diploma/degree in Environmental Science, Conservation, Tourism, Public Administration, Finance, or related fields.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- No prior work experience is required, but a passion for environmental conservation is essential.
