The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) is a national initiative by National Treasury that aims to build financial capacity within South Africa’s municipalities. Interns will be trained across all core functions within the Budget and Treasury Office in accordance with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Act 56 of 2003.
Through structured learning outcomes, mentorship, and active participation in municipal operations, interns will graduate with deep financial and regulatory knowledge.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria):

- Hold a valid Code B driver’s license (manual transmission)
- Have completed a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 6) in one of the following:

- Risk Management
- Be computer literate (MS Office)
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
