The National Department of Health invites applications for its Internship Programme 2025 / 2026, designed to provide occupationally-based work experience to unemployed South African graduates who are passionate about building careers in the Public Service sector.
This 24-month structured internship aims to develop job-ready skills and improve the employability of young graduates through hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to real-world challenges in the health administration sector.
Note: Applicants must not have previously participated in any internship programme.
1. Internship: Administration

Location: Pretoria
Minimum Requirements:
A National Diploma or Degree in any of the following fields:
- Public Management
- Public Administration
- Business Administration
- Business Management
- Management Assistant
- Office Management
- Office Administration
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support across various units.
- Assist with supply chain support services.
- Support personnel administration processes.
- Contribute to financial administration within the department.
2. Internship: Supply Chain Management
Ref No: NDOH 62/2025
Location: Pretoria
Minimum Requirements:
A National Diploma or Degree in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics
- Public Management
- Purchasing
- Transport Management
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in supply chain functions including procurement and logistics.
- Support asset management operations.
- Contribute to demand and acquisition planning.
- Help streamline logistical support services.
