This structured programme gives you the chance to gain real-world workplace experience while working toward a nationally recognised NQF Level 5 qualification in Short Term Insurance.

Position Details

Title: Learnership in Short Term Insurance
Duration: 12-month programme
Qualification: NQF5 in Short Term Insurance
Workplace Experience: Underwriting and Claims
Locations: Cape Town, Gqeberha, Johannesburg
Stipend: R5000 monthly
Additional Benefits:
- R250 data allowance
- R750 travel allowance
- Total Monthly Stipend: R6000

Key Responsibilities

Participate in a blended learning programme combining theoretical training and on-the-job experience
Learn directly from experienced insurance professionals
Assist with underwriting and claims administration
Grow your knowledge of short-term insurance processes and industry compliance

Minimum Requirements

Age: 18–35 years old
Employment Status: Must currently be unemployed
Education:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Minimum 40% in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- Minimum 40% in English (First Language or First Additional Language)
Previous Learnerships: Must not have completed an INSETA Learnership in the past 18 months
Residency: Must reside in Cape Town, Gqeberha, or Johannesburg
