The AgriSETA Supply Chain Management Internship is a 24-month structured programme aimed at providing practical, hands-on experience in public sector procurement, logistics, and administrative processes. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and actively contribute to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) division at AgriSETA Head Office in Arcadia, Pretoria.
During the internship, participants will not only assist in day-to-day SCM tasks, but they will also gain insight into government procurement policies, bid evaluation, supplier management, and compliance reporting. Key Responsibilities For AgriSETA Supply Chain Management Internship:
As an intern, you’ll work closely with AgriSETA’s Supply Chain Management division to:
- Source quotations from tax-compliant suppliers on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Create and manage purchase orders
- Assist in bid committee meetings and provide administrative support
- Manage and safeguard office supplies and stationery
- Support logistics and staff travel arrangements
- Maintain procurement registers and ensure compliance reporting
- Handle various ad hoc SCM tasks as required
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this exciting internship opportunity, applicants must:
- Have Grade 12 / Matric
- Hold a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics
- Or an equivalent qualification
- Have no prior work experience
- Be computer literate (especially in Microsoft Word & Excel)
- Possess strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
