Job Description

SAPS invites applications for its Internship Programme, aimed at empowering young South Africans by equipping them with workplace experience in a professional law enforcement and administrative environment. Interns will be placed in relevant SAPS divisions based on their field of study and career interests.

Fields of Internship

Internship opportunities are available in the following fields (including but not limited to):

Human Resource Management
Financial Management
Supply Chain Management
Public Administration
Communication and Media Studies
Criminology and Law
Information Technology
Forensic Sciences

Key Responsibilities

Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department
Perform research, data capturing, and documentation
Support team projects and attend relevant training sessions
Uphold SAPS values, ethics, and confidentiality

Requirements

Must be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 35
Must have completed a recognized National Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 and above)
Must be unemployed and not currently participating in another internship program
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to undergo security clearance and background checks
