Job Description
Drakenstein Municipality is offering an internship program for unemployed graduates seeking practical work experience in the public sector. This 12-month internship provides young professionals with an opportunity to develop skills, gain hands-on training, and receive mentorship in a structured work environment.
Interns will work across various municipal departments, contributing to community development projects and municipal services while gaining exposure to government operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks within the assigned department
- Conduct research, data collection, and report preparation
- Support the implementation of municipal projects and services
- Engage with citizens, stakeholders, and community representatives
- Participate in training programs, mentorship sessions, and workshops
- Ensure compliance with municipal policies and regulations
Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Aged 18 – 35 years
- Must have completed a National Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant field
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and relevant software)
- No prior work experience required (internship or volunteer experience is a plus)
