Description

The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) invites suitably qualified and unemployed graduates to apply for the GEPFuture Internship Programme 2026. This structured two-year internship programme is designed to provide graduates with meaningful workplace exposure, practical experience, and professional skills in their chosen fields of study.The programme aims to support youth development while building a pipeline of skilled professionals aligned with the needs of the public sector.

General Principles and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be South African citizens aged 18 to 35 years
  • Must be unemployed graduates
  • Must have completed at least a three-year Degree or National Diploma, or
    have completed all coursework and require practical workplace exposure to complete a qualification
  • Applicants who still need to complete coursework for a Degree or National Diploma should not apply
  • Applicants who have previously participated in an internship programme or have prior formal employment in the relevant field will not be considered
  • Applicants must apply only for internships aligned with their qualifications
