The Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture (DSAC) is offering an exciting Internship Programme aimed at providing young graduates with valuable work experience in the public sector. Interns will gain hands-on experience in key operational areas, including:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of sports and cultural programmes
- Supporting heritage and arts initiatives within communities
- Conducting research and policy analysis for departmental projects
- Assisting in the coordination of events, exhibitions, and outreach programmes
- Handling administrative and financial tasks related to department projects
- Supporting HR functions, recruitment processes, and employee wellness initiatives
- Assisting in public relations, social media management, and marketing campaigns
- Participating in IT support, digital transformation, and record-keeping processes
To qualify for this internship, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Have completed a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
- Have no prior permanent work experience
- Possess strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Have a passion for sport, arts, culture, and community development
- Be willing to learn in a government environment
- Gain practical experience in sport, arts, and culture sectors
