The Macsteel Internship Programme is designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on experience and exposure to various business functions within the company. The programme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace experience, equipping interns with industry-specific skills, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
Internships are available in the following disciplines:
- Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical, Electrical)
- Supply Chain & Logistics
- Finance & Accounting
- Sales & Marketing
- Human Resources (HR) & Administration
- Information Technology (IT) & Data Analytics
- Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management
Interns will work closely with professionals and gain practical experience in their chosen field by:
- Assisting in daily departmental operations and projects
- Conducting research and data analysis to support business functions
- Engaging in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with teams to achieve departmental goals
- Learning industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Participating in training and development sessions
- South African citizenship
- A completed National Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- No prior full-time work experience (internship experience allowed)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- A keen interest in the steel, manufacturing, or business industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Internships will be based at various Macsteel locations across South Africa.
