Intern responsibilities will vary depending on the department and field of specialization. However, general duties may include:

To be eligible for the Capricorn TVET College Internship Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed or be in the final year of a TVET College qualification
- Must require work-integrated learning (WIL) experience for qualification purposes (if applicable)
- Must have a National Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, emails, internet navigation)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a professional work environment
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Hands-on work experience in a real-world setting
