GreenCape is seeking highly motivated and proactive Graduate Trainees to join our team and support projects in the sustainable agriculture sector. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research, stakeholder engagement, and report writing within the green economy.
This full-time contract position is available until 31 March 2026, with a three-month probation period. The ideal candidate should have a postgraduate degree (master’s preferred) and a passion for South Africa’s agricultural sector.
- Conduct research and analysis related to sustainable agriculture.
- Engage with stakeholders such as industry experts, policymakers, and funders.
- Assist in the coordination of events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare high-quality reports, publications, and funding documents.
- Support market research, data collection, and database management.
- Assist in general programme administration and project support tasks.
- A postgraduate degree (master’s preferred) in a relevant field, such as:
- Engineering (All fields)
- Science
- Resource/Agricultural Economics
- Finance
- Environmental Studies
- Other relevant disciplines
- Candidates nearing completion of their postgraduate degree are welcome to apply.
- No prior professional experience is required.
- Academic research, report writing, and stakeholder engagement experience is an advantage.
- Experience in event coordination, database management, or data collection is beneficial.
- Familiarity with document preparation for funders and programme administration is a plus.
- Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, independent, and eager to learn.
- Interest in sustainable agriculture and green economy trends is an advantage.
