The Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the YES Internship Programme 2026. This one-year opportunity (January 2026 – January 2027) is designed to provide real-world exposure, professional growth, and the chance to work in a dynamic and innovative business environment.

The GIBS Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme offers participants a valuable platform to develop practical skills, enhance employability, and gain meaningful workplace experience — setting you up for long-term career success.

Requirements

To qualify for the GIBS YES Internship 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be unemployed at the time of application.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old (not turning 35 by 31 December 2025).
  • Be a South African citizen (by birth or naturalisation).
  • Reside in Gauteng.
  • Must not have participated in any other YES programme before.
  • Hold a University Degree or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7).
  • Qualifications with quantitative skills will be an added advantage.
  • Be available to work a 40-hour week (Monday to Sunday, with two consecutive days off).
  • Be willing to work evenings (16:30 – 21:30) from Monday to Friday.
  • Be available to start in January 2026.
